Apocalyptica officialy announced a new concert tour "Kaamos 2010" ("Polar Night 2010") that will begin in February and it will end in March 2010.
According to their MySpace blog, it will be the biggest tour in the native Finland for the las few years.
The main idea of the following tour is to have all the concerts in clasical concert halls and not in rock clubs.
The tickets are already in sale since 4th of November 2009.
At this moment, Apocalyptica is working on their 7th album, which will be realeased in 2010.
It has been accounced on the official web-site of "kRock U Maybutne Festival - 2009" that due to Urkranian political problems as well as problems in advancing the show it has been cancelled and moved to 2010.
The night started with a large concert featuring Radiosymfonikerna (Swedish radio symphony orchestra) and guest artists Markus Krunegard, Frida Hyvonen, Eino Gron, Anette Olzon from Nightwish and Arja Saijonmaa.
Two popular Finnish bands finished the night, first Värttinä with their modern world/folk music followed by Apocalyptica and their fusion of classical music and metal. The night was presented by Swedish/Finnish tv personality Pekka Heino.
According to the Spinefarm Records guest musicians on the new album "Fire-Hearted" include vocalists Marco Hietala (NIGHTWISH, TAROT) and Tony Kakko (SONATA ARCTICA), keyboardist Henrik Klingenberg (SONATA ARCTICA), bassist Jari Kainulainen (EVERGREY, ex-STRATOVARIUS) and drummer Mikko Siren (APOCALYPTICA).

This April Apocalyptica have performed in Samara, Krasnodar, Rostov, Moscow and St. Petersburg as part of their world tour. Apocalyptica are frequent performers in Russia.
The legendary Finnish band "Leningrad Cowboys" singer Tipe Johnson featured together with Apocalyptica in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
On 13th of April Apocalyptica met with it's fans in St. Petersburg.
The autograph-session was organized by music shop "Play" and music company NCA on the eve of the concert of Apocalyptica in St. Petersburg.
The autograph-session was a part of the charitable action "Music for the sake of children". The most famous and profound musicians responded to take part and sign CDs with their music. Then defined sum of money for these CDs is being transferred to the children’s home #16.
Apocalyptica won the Emma-gaala 2009 nomination the Year's Best Export Act.
The Emma-gaala is a Finnish music gala arranged yearly by IFPI Finland, awarding the most famous artists and music professionals of the year.
Earlier Apocaliptica was nominated for Emma-gaala twice - in 1997 and 2008.

The first festivals was announced for the summer already. A few more will follow.
But before the summer Apocalyptica will do a longer run in Russia, The Baltics, Poland and Czech Republic.
