Antero Manninen - biography

Antero Manninen was born in January 17, 1973 in Tampere (Finland).

He began to play cello at the age of 7 and played in many orchestras.
He joined Apocalyptica in 1993, when the band was created, but after the two firsts albums, he decided to leave the band and join the "Sinfonia Lahti".

From 2003, to 2009, he supported Apocalyptica by playing live.

As this discret and shy man always wear sunglasses onstage the fans gave him the nickname of "Mister co^ol", which is used now even by the band.

Antero is a sportive guy, he often jogs before the show with Mikko. He's also a very passionate Nordic skier, and a fairly good cooker.
